Calendar
There are several types of calendars available, all of which can be personalised. You can choose the calendar design, add holidays and important dates, and select images to create a unique product.
Product customisation
As with other photo products, once you have selected a calendar from the Product selection window, you can specify its material options. You can customise the size and surface material of the calendar. You can also select the calendar type: the monthly calendar displays the days of the week based on the calendar year, while the perpetual calendar is not tied to a specific year or day of the week and can be used at any time.
In the case of Calendar and Desk Calendar, you can also choose the Calendar design you want. You will be able to customise its colours and fonts it later. There is also an option to remove the calendar table by ticking the without calendar table box. Once you have customised your calendar to your liking, click on Design to continue.
Design modes
As with Photo Books, you can choose between three different design modes when placing images on the pages of your calendar:
One Minute Calendar is a quick and automated way to create your calendar. By pre-selecting the images you want and specifying the parameters and design line, the online designer will create the calendar for you. Once created, you can modify it as you wish. You can change the layout, the design line and add, change or remove images, text and objects.
AutoLayout allows you to design your calendar page by page. The online designer opens blank pages with just the calendar. To start designing, you will need to add images to your project in the left column. Once the images are added, you can select multiple photos and use the Insert Image button at the bottom to place them on the calendar using the suggested layouts. If you wish, you can select different layouts from the right column. All objects placed on the calendar can be modified and text can be added. Please note that modifying objects or adding text will disable the AutoLayout feature so you can freely position objects as you wish. You can also drag photos directly onto the pages. If you drag the image onto the page, it will be placed there and should be positioned correctly. In addition, the As background option will appear, allowing you to set the image as the background.
PDF Upload allows you to upload a pre-designed calendar created with external software. For more information, visit the Professional Zone.

Calendar
After selecting a design mode, the Calendar customisation window appears before the Online designer opens.
On the left you will see a preview of the calendar with the first month selected by default. If you wish, you can select a different month in the Preview month box at the bottom of the window. In the right-hand column you will find the configuration tools, divided into two tabs: Appearance and Holidays.
Appearance
The Appearance tab gives you several options to customise the appearance of the calendar. At the top of the column are calendar content choices:
- The Year field allows you to select the calendar year which determines how the days of each month are organised.
- The Start month field allows you to select the starting month of the 12-month calendar. This gives you flexibility when creating and designing your calendar. For example, if you choose to start your calendar in May 2024, the last month of your calendar will be April 2025.
- Activating the week numbers box will display the week number of the year in the calendar.
- The Calendar language field allows you to select the language of the calendar.
- The Size field allows you to change the size of the calendar and all its contents.
By default, a colour palette is displayed with your previously selected Calendar design. You can either choose one of the provided presets or customise each colour and font in your calendar by selecting the desired option from the boxes below.
Under the Text colour section you will find boxes to select specific text colours for Sundays, Holidays, Own events, Month and year, and Default (for the rest of the text). Clicking on any of these boxes opens a colour menu where you can choose from a range of colours. In addition, you can select a specific colour by clicking on the Colour selector button, which opens a window where you can enter the HEX value of the desired colour.
In the Fonts section you can select different fonts for the calendar, holidays and month. Under Calendar background, you can select a background colour for the calendar and adjust its opacity.
Holidays
Click on the Holidays tab at the top to display its options. You can select a country and region from the boxes provided. Once selected, the public holidays for the selected location will be displayed and automatically added to your calendar. If you want to remove any of these holidays, click the button with three dots next to the holiday and select delete. If you do not want holidays or your own events to be displayed in the calendar, uncheck Show holidays and own events.
In addition to holidays, you can add your own events or important dates such as birthdays. Click the Add new button to open a window where you can select the date and enter the name of the event.
When you have finished configuring the calendar, click on OK.
Calendar on the Online designer
Calendars are structured with a cover page followed by one page per month. Depending on the design mode chosen, images may already be placed on the calendar and can be modified at any time along with other objects. Text, cliparts, fill boxes, backgrounds and additional images can be added, modified or deleted on each page.
The calendar itself can also be modified from here. Clicking on the Calendar button in the right column will bring up the calendar configuration tools. Note that the Calendar button is visible on the month pages and will not be visible on the Cover page as there is no calendar there.
From here you can add holidays and configure the appearance of the calendar. The changes you make will apply to the page/month open in the online designer. For example, you can choose a different colour for each month. To apply the changes to all months, click on the To all pages button at the top.
Family Calendar
The Family Calendar offers the convenience of having an individual column for each family member, allowing them to add their own dates and events. The layout of the calendar is unique and adapts to the number of family members added.
In the calendar configuration window, you will find the Family members tab next to the Appearance and Holidays tabs. To add a family member, simply click on the Add new button. A window will appear where you can enter the name of the person.
Once you have entered the name, click on Add and a column with the person’s name will be added to the calendar. If you want to change or delete a family member, click on the three dots that appear next to their name.
When you add Holidays to the family calendar, you have the option to assign them to a specific family member. From the Holidays tab, click Add new to open a window where you can select the date, enter the event name, and select the appropriate family member. After filling in the details, click on Add to add the holiday to the calendar.
